MISSION STATEMENT:

Rooted in the Dominican tradition of Veritas, Saint Dominic Regional High School forms students who pursue truth and knowledge,
act with moral courage and integrity, and cultivate a spirit of community.

OUR VISION

At Saint Dominic Regional High School, we nurture students to grow in wisdom, integrity, and compassion. Rooted in a spirit of faith and guided by enduring moral values, we prepare young people to lead lives of purpose and service. Through rigorous academics, reflective learning, and meaningful community engagement, we inspire students to seek truth, live with courage, and act with kindness in all they do.

OUR CORE VALUES

Faith & Reflection
We honor the spiritual dimension of life, encouraging students to explore their faith and moral purpose with openness and respect for all traditions.

Pursuit of Knowledge
We challenge every student to realize their fullest potential—academically, creatively, and personally—through intellectual curiosity, commitment to truth, and perseverance in the face of challenge.

Moral Courage & Integrity
We foster honesty, responsibility, and moral courage in thought, word, and deed, helping students to do what is right—even when it is difficult.

Spirit of Community

We cultivate a welcoming environment, calling on students to work together with generosity of spirit for the common good.

We are building a future that is both ambitious and achievable.

ABOUT THE SPACE
The SDRHS Board has identified the Peck Building in downtown Lewiston as our most viable location for restarting the school. This location represents a powerful return to our urban roots—reconnecting SDRHS with the community that shaped its history and identity.

The Peck Building offers an immediate and transformative opportunity. The property provides ample, secure parking in an attached parking garage offering direct access to the building. It comes equipped with advanced security features like high-tech camera systems, fob-operated elevator access, and sophisticated fire and intruder alarm systems to ensure a safe environment for students and staff.

With 30,000+ square feet available over two floors, the space affords ample room to expand enrollment up to 180 students as the school grows. The space boasts an existing fitness room, men’s and women’s locker rooms, sufficient technology infrastructure for academic needs, as well as a cafeteria and space to create a catering-kitchen for hot lunch options.

Above all, the Peck Building offers the independence and long-term stability needed to build a strong, sustainable future!

School Overview

PROJECTED ENROLLMENT
2026-2027: 80
2030-2031: 140 (pre-closure levels)
2032-2033: 180 (planned capacity)

Tuition
Tuition for the 2026-2027 School year will be $14,500 (State Average $22,000). The goal is for tuition to fund academics with a separate athletic fee to cover sports.

Tuition assistance
There is currently a $500 Deposit Match available for the first 40 enrollees, plus two major scholarships have been formed. The $2 million Dion Scholarship will award 40 $5,000 scholarships for year one and the $100,000 Gerard Berube Class of 1945 Veterans Scholarship will award up to four $1500 scholarships annually.

Athletics
Every Athlete will have a team. SDRHS has a storied athletic history, which we will continue. For sports with enough athletes we will have our own teams, for others we will establish a Co-Op team with neighboring districts where necessary. There will be a separate fee to cover athletic participation in some instances, contingent on facility rental and transportation costs.

Personnel
Striving for a 1:10 staff-to-student ratio, the plan includes hiring 7-8 full-time faculty, along with a
Head of School, and 2-3 other administrative support people, including a College/Career Counselor.
